DIY Homemade Face Masks For Glowing Skin and Acne

Ahh, summer has arrived, its that time of the year again, its so hot chickens are laying boiled eggs, its so hot corns are popping on the stalk, its so hot… hot water comes out of both taps, it so hot.. okay sorry about that, got carried away there for a minute. So let’s get to the topic you got my point it’s very hot and at this time of year, our skin is in need of some serious hydration.

For those of us who don’t have time (or money) to go get a fancy spa treatment with expensive products. I gathered some natural foods items easily available in our homes so you can use them to make DIY face masks for glowing skin which is very healthy and will give you a glowing fresh look.

1. Eggs

Eggs are protein-rich and are really good for skin health. They hydrate and provide elasticity to the skin. Eggs contain collagen and elastin which strengthens your skin tissues and the egg yolk is rich in vitamins and contain biotin, it protects the skin from acne, rashes, and dryness.

Mask Method

This egg mask is one of my favorite and I apply this once a week.

  • Take an egg and separate the egg white.
  • Apply egg white directly on your face and cover your face with a tissue paper, (like you make your own face mask).
  • After a few moments when it becomes dry remove the tissue mask very slowly and instantly, you can see the difference.

This mask removes your blackheads, gives you shiny skin and strengthen your facial tissues.

2. Lemons

Lemons are a such a rich source of Vitamin C, Vitamin B, and Phosphorous. Vitamin C gives you healthy skin, the natural acids in lemon remove dead skin and high amount of citric acid helps in cleaning the pores of your skin. Furthermore, Lemon burns toxins from our body which gives a clean and clear skin. Quick method; squeeze some fresh lemon to gain juice and apply it to get a flawless skin.

Mask Method

  • Squeeze 1 lemon, add 2 tablespoons of natural honey, mix them finely.
  • Apply all over your face and leave it for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • After that wash your face with normal water.

It will give you hydrated and moisturized skin.

3. Avocado

Avocados are rich in fatty acids, vitamins, and antioxidants, all of these improves our skin. It has fat-soluble vitamins that help to protect our skin from sun damage as well as hydrate our skin when we apply it topically.

Mask Method

  • Mash avocado until you get a creamy material.
  • Add lemon juice and natural honey in mashed avocado.
  • Apply on your face for 10 to 15 minutes and then rinse it off.

This mask will remove acne from your skin and also helps to moisturize your skin. Apply this mask daily at least 3-5 days to get best results.

4. Carrots

Carrots contain a large amount of beta-carotene, Vitamin A, and antioxidants which helps to prevent the degeneration of cells. Vitamin C in carrots reduces acne and dark spots. So enjoy a glass of carrot juice every day and also eat it as a salad.

Mask Method

  • Grind carrots to convert it into paste form, now add honey, milk cream and olive oil and mix well.
  • Apply mask on all over your face and leave it for 10-15 minutes.
  • After that wash your face with normal water.

Now you have soft, glowing and beautiful skin.

5. Brown Rice

Essential minerals and fibers in brown rice work to make your skin blemish free. Brown rice proteins repairs damaged skin and they promote blood flow in our skin.

Mask Method

  • Take 2 to 3 tablespoon of brown rice in a bowl and wash until rice becomes clear.
  • Now pour some water into the rice bowl and wait until you get milky colored water.
  • Apply the milky water on your face and wait for as much as possible and let it dry.
  • When the mask completely dries out, wash your face with normal water.

This mask will shrink your pores, gives you smooth skin and works as a natural organic cleanser.

6. Papaya

There are many benefits of papaya, it cleanses the skin, it has active enzymes which controls acne breakout and helps to reduce pigmentation.

Mask Method

  • If you apply a mask of papaya on your face it will make your skin very soft and elegant.
  • Mash the papaya and add few drops of lemon juice to make the papaya mask, apply it for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • After 10 to 15 minutes rinse it off with normal water.

Lemon and papaya mask will give you flawless and bright skin.

7. Spinach

Green leafy vegetable spinach contains an essential Vitamin B which helps to maintain and repair DNA and also help to reduce wrinkles, that’s why this is Popeye’s favorite food. It also plays an important role in the improvement your complexion.

Mask Method

  • Applying the mask of Spinach on your face works wonders for your skin.
  • Blend spinach (quantity as you need) to get spinach juice and apply it on your face for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • After 10 to 15 minutes rinse it off with normal water.

This process cleans the dirt from your face and gives you acne free skin, also removes radicals from your skin and gives you fresh and rosy glowing skin.

8. Tomatoes

Tomatoes are rich in antioxidants like lycopene and eating tomatoes protects you from UV rays. It helps your skin to prevent skin damage and aging. Tomatoes should be an important part of your diet if you really need to glow.

Mask Method

  • Take some tomatoes and mash them properly.
  • Now rub this pulp form all over your face for 5-10 minutes.
  • Leave it on your face for 5-10 minutes. Rinse with cold water for an instant glow.

Stay hydrated, try all the masks and share the results with your friends and families.
